Rebecca + Tyler (The Lodge at Malibou Lake)
After a mountaintop proposal, The Lodge at Malibou Lake, less than an hour west of Los Angeles, yet surrounded by 5,000 acres of state parkland, was the perfect wilderness haven for two adventurers to say, “I do.”
Everything went smoothly and according to plan on Rebecca and Tyler’s sunny spring wedding day. Rebecca spent a blissful morning surrounded by her glitzy jade green bridesmaids who were ever ready to help in any way. Meanwhile, Tyler and his groomsmen cracked jokes and savored a celebratory glass of whiskey or two.
When the time for the ceremony arrived, it became even more evident how beloved this couple is by their friends and family, as many guests flew in from as far as London, including a dear college friend of Rebecca’s who officiated the wedding. Under a jaw-dropping arch crafted of vines and flowers by the father of the bride, Rebecca and Tyler said their vows. The bride was a picture of elegance in a simple but stunning satin gown, and her groom in a navy suit accented by a dapper floral tie, looked picture-perfect at her side.
The reception wowed, complete with a choreographed first dance and glowing neon party glasses, and the newly married couple absolutely radiated joy. This was a celebration to remember, and I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to photograph it.
