ABOUT ME

Hi THERE! MY NAME IS EVELYN R. AVILA, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME EVE.

I’m an explorer and lover of everything by nature. I’m extremely passionate about things I do. I’ve been photographing for a long time now. It’s in my blood. I love bold and golden colors in my photos with a touch of moody vibes. I’m more of a go with the flow kind of gal and try to document your day as it unfolds without so much equipment around me to interrupt your flow. I will pose you from time to time and also let you be. So I can document who you are as a couple and capture the natural love that you have for each other. 50 years from now when your wedding album is passed amongst loved ones you want them to feel like they were there when they see the photographs. I get inspired by traveling, the arts, movies, people, and all the love stories in between. 

The year 2020 brought me closer to getting to know myself on a deeper level. I feel more connected to my spiritual side more than ever. Yes, I am that person with 50+ crystals, tarot cards and sage in my life. I believe that when a person comes into your life is because it was meant for us to meet. No matter if it’s for a moment or a long time. I love people but I am also a bit of an introvert. Nothing wine can’t fix. Can you tell I love wine? I even take online wine classes for fun. My wife, Lourdes, and I currently call sunny Long Beach home. We hope that one day we can retire in Italy, Spain or France. We have a little small dachshund poodle mix name Merlot with a big personality and we also had a little poodle that passed away a few years ago. I want to mention him because he was a huge part of our lives and he was our first fur-child. We miss him so much. His name was Sauvignon Blanc but he went by Sauvi. 

One more thing… I was born in New Jersey but raised in Los Angeles, CA. South Central to be exact. I am a proud where I come from. I have worked hard to reach a place where I am content with myself and my surroundings. My parents are from Central America. El Salvador and Guatemala to be exact. I do speak fluent Spanish with a Central American accent. Haha I also have two younger siblings which I love and mother them a lot. They hate that. It’s the control freak in me. It comes out from time to time. Currently working on that too. So there you have it…a little bit about me.
